Sainyam Khanna

Sainyam grew up around printing presses, production floors, and conversations about client servicing. He spent multiple summer vacations helping his father, and over time, curiosity turned into a genuine passion for production and problem-solving. He came to believe that quality is never accidental; it is the result of thousands of small decisions made well.

Years later, that perspective inspired a simple question: why should quality custom apparel only be accessible through brands and large orders? Custprint was his answer. By bringing garment manufacturing and printing together under one roof, he created a platform that gives customers direct access to decades of manufacturing expertise, quality products and thoughtful customisation.

1970s

Printing Press As A Classroom

The story begins with Sainyam’s father, Pramod Narain Khanna, whose relentless curiosity shaped everything that followed. After arriving in Delhi and joining the PUSA/NISCAIR printing press, he turned the factory floor into his classroom, teaching himself the entire craft of printing, from colour matching and proofing to pre-press and production management.

1980s

Founding Khanna Process

Before digital printing, when offset presses were out of reach for most small businesses, Mr Khanna saw an opportunity in screen printing. Drawing on his expertise, he founded Khanna Process at home, producing wedding invitations, visiting cards, certificates, and business stationery on a small screen-printing setup. As demand grew, he left PUSA/NISCAIR to pursue the venture full-time, laying the foundation for the company’s future.

1990s

From Paper To Apparel

The 90s marked a turning point. Mr Khanna set up his first garment-printing factory and built a team of 30, transforming a home-grown venture into a manufacturing business. As the decade progressed, the company broadened its printing techniques and steadily earned a reputation in the apparel industry, setting the stage for future growth.

2000s

Soaring New Heights

By the 2000s, the workforce had grown from a few dozen to nearly 1,500 people, and the client list now included brands such as Jockey, Enamor, Benetton and Arvind, along with export leaders like Richa Global, Pearl Global, and Orient Craft. The company had become proficient across multiple printing disciplines, including screen printing, digital printing, sublimation, transfer printing and rhinestone work.
These were also the years when Sainyam got his first real glimpse of the family business. As a teenager, he accompanied his father to work, gaining first-hand exposure to the people, processes and challenges behind every order.

2010s

The Birth Of Custprint

As Sainyam took on more responsibility, he began questioning the traditional manufacturing model. He believed customers deserved direct access to the same printing quality and expertise that brands had relied on for decades. That belief became Custprint. Launched in 2015 with just two stitching machines, they began learning an entirely new craft. Over time, those early machines grew into a full-scale manufacturing operation, bringing garment-making and printing together under one roof.

2020s

Opening The Doors Wider

As the business grew, so did its ambitions. While Custprint Business continued serving corporate clients and large-volume orders, Sainyam saw an opportunity to make custom-printed apparel more accessible. Custprint was created for individuals, creators, teams and growing brands who needed smaller quantities and greater flexibility. It’s the natural extension of the original vision: making it easy for anyone to work directly with the manufacturer, regardless of order size.
